Wizarding Times

Catch up on previous installments of My Jedi Journal! Year One: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6; Year Two: 1, 2, 3.

The good news is that it seems I'm going to pass and go to third year next year. The bad news is that I totally failed one of my classes and won't be able to continue on with it. I don't like that class anyway but it's the whole idea of "failure," you know? Yeah, it's numerology. I just don't GET how numbers can influence anything or anyone. My predictions come out backwards and I have difficulties with identical twins. (Yeah, I know they are born on the same day and close to the same hour so how in the world do I manage to screw it up?)

But I was getting tired of having eight classes anyway. I guess. I'm not sure but I might be getting mostly Exceeds Expectations and Acceptables. I'd really like to get an Outstanding in Potions but it depends on if the professor's hair grows back in black instead of purple, I think.

Some more news on the home front. (That seems odd to say 'the home front'. It seems that Hogwarts is more my home now than 'home' is. I wonder if all students feel this way?) Anyway, today I got a letter from Dad. It seems that he is going to Crete this summer, to stay in a small house there and study olgivnies. (I just went and looked and yeah, that is what he wrote. Whatever an olgivnies is. Maybe it's a plural of olgivny? So whatever an olgivny is....)

ANYWAY, he wants to know if I want to go stay with him or go "home" and stay with our cool neighbor Alana. He says that she says that is fine, that she'd welcome me to be with her all summer if I like. She's added another couple of rooms to her house, so I could have my own place to "live" if I like. I don't know. I gotta think about it....

Darn it! Darn cat! I just spilled my coffee on the parchment. In my book. If it shows up that means my vanishing spell didn't work so well. If I can't see it next time I look in here that means it took. And if the whole book vanishes, that means it worked too well.

Well, I guess that's it for tonight. I'm going to find Scalawag wherever she hid after I yelled at her and pet her for a while so she stops being mad at me.
