Now You Know
by Katie Sierra
I used to sing songs to you
Though you'd never hear a sound
And dedicate my poems
Secretly to you year-round
And I know sometimes you noticed
Around you I'd lose my cool
You can't have known I wanted you
Always, even outside school
You can't have ever guessed
How desperate I was for you
You were my only want
And you didn't have a clue
Now fin'ly holding you in my arms
Forever calling you mine
I hope you see just how much I care
See all of the outward signs
You don't hear the songs I sing
Or read the words I write
But should always know I care
Each moment I'm in your sight
By the feel of your hand in mine
How, when I'm with you, all is fine
By the way I'll look you in the eye
By the way that I'll hug you goodbye
Never settle for not knowing
Think of me and you will see
I care for you with all my heart
With every breath I breathe
