Welcome back, HOLers!

By Prof. Anya Chutney

The older I get, the faster summers seem to fly by. When I was a kid, they lasted forever. These days? I just want fall to hurry up and get here. ;)

This year is going to be a great one. I can feel it in my bones. There are so many exciting classes, contests, and goings-on that no one should feel like there is nothing to do around here!

I want to challenge each and every one of you to remain as active as possible this year. Hufflepuff (and HOL) would not exist without each and every one of you making an effort. Real life comes first, as always, but take the time to get to know your other housemates and HOLmates. Engage yourself in your classes, find joy in the contests, Art Department, Library, Book Club, etc.

HOL can be an enriching place to hang out. And, there is never a lack of good company and fun times.

For the newbies out there — welcome to Hufflepuff! Our staff is here to help you with anything you need. For those oldbies (I count myself in this group), welcome back. We've missed you over the summer.

I wish each and every one of you a brilliant and exciting term!

Cheers!
Anya
