Citrine Cove Competition Results
Well, we come to another end of summer and another end to the race to be the top Citrine Hoarder in Hufflepuff. It was a close race this year; well, okay, not that close for the top spot but the second and third spots were switching up until the very last minute.
Here are the latest winners of the Citrine Cove awards for the past school year!
In third place, with 1,563 citrines, we have me, Rorey Padfoot, winning the Citrine Hoarder award.
In second place, with 1,612 citrines, is Tarma Black, winning the Citrine Hoarder Extraordinaire award.
And for the second year in a row, with a citrine total of 2,726, the winner of the Citrine Hoarder Specialist award is none other then Kath Snape. As you can see, Kath was very determined to defend her title this year! But, can she do it three years in a row? We shall see....
August saw the start of the race for the next Citrine Hoarder awards. Are you ready? Wait... what? What is that you're saying? How do you earn citrines? Oh, there are loads of ways to earn yourself some shiny sparkly yellow citrines.
Check the Sett (Hufflepuff Common Room) for citrine opportunities. There are several challenges offered every month in the Department of Huffle Games and Sports, or better known as the Game Tent. Each month, the hardworking Game Tent officials make sure there are challenges for the Hufflepuffs (and non-Hufflepuffs) to work on in between their classes. The Badger Bookshelf and Huffle Kitchen also have monthly activities in which students are rewarded with citrines.
Speaking of being a student, did you know you can earn citrines for doing your homework? We have what we like to call the 100 Club. All Hufflepuffs have to do is earn 100 points in a month's time to be part of the 100 Club. Each month you are in the 100 Club you will receive 30 citrines. You might be saying 100 points? That's a lot of points! If you are taking just three classes you have the capability of earning 120 points a month by doing your assignments and extra credits. This doesn't even include the Library or Art Departments that offer point activities as well. And, as a super bonus, our own Head of House — Professor Anya — will reward each Quill we earn a term with 30 more citrines.
Now, citrine earning is not just for Hufflepuffs; oh no, we welcome other houses as well to join in on the fun. So, you see, there are many, many ways we can earn citrines and make the race for Citrine Hoarder an exciting one.
