An Interview with Eloise
Ella: Hello, Eloise, and welcome to the wondrous house of Hufflepuff. Please, browse around the common room and relax with other badgers. Don't forget to check out the Fluffy Sofa, the Dorms and, especially if you like cooking, the Huffle Kitchen! There are many more places to visit, just go to the common room. But, that's not what I'm here for. Everyone here has once been a first year, entering the Entrance Hall, passing the entry exam, taking the Sorting Hat quiz. But, I'd like to hear a newer Huffie's thoughts on all of that. So that's why I am interviewing you for the Wizarding Times. I'm sure you know all about the Wizarding Times. No? Well, it is a magnificent magazine where Hufflepuffs, and even other houses, can contribute articles visible for all HOLers to read about. Let's begin with some questions.
So, Eloise, how did you feel when you found out that there was a virtual Hogwarts online?
Eloise: When I found out about Hogwarts Online, I was very excited because I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I always wondered what it would be like to do Hogwarts homework and live like a wizard.
Ella: Were you scared during the Sorting Hat quiz?
Eloise: Yes, I admit I was scared during the Sorting Hat Quiz because I didn't know what House I was going to be in. I answered the questions honestly, but I was scared some of the answers were too aggressive and assertive and I would be placed in Slytherin. But it turned out I was in Hufflepuff, so I'm very happy there.
Ella: Oh, so what house did you want to be in, and which did you think you would be in?
Eloise: Well, I wanted to be in Gryfindor (obviously) because that is where the main Harry Potter heroes come from. However, during the Sorting Hat Quiz, I thought perhaps I would be sorted in Ravenclaw, because there were a quite a few questions in which I chose the more intelligent answers. In the end, I'm happy where I ended up: Hufflepuff.
Ella: Are you excited for classes to start?
Eloise: Yes, I'm very excited for classes to start because I really want to be able to do wizard homework and learn what witches and wizards would learn.
Ella: Great! So is there anything other than classes in which you're interested?
Eloise: Yes, I would very much like to be on the Hufflepuff Quiditch Team as Seeker someday, but we will see what comes out of it. I also would like to spend a decent amount of time in the kitchen because I enjoy cooking very much.
Ella: Interesting, any goals? (Becoming a Prefect? Buying a specific item?)
Eloise: I'm not sure if I would like to become a Prefect because you have a lot of responsibility and I would rather have more freedom. However, I would like to purchase a pet because it would make me feel more "wizardish."
Ella: Okay. So, what kind of pet?
Eloise: Once I get enough beans, I would like to buy perhaps a small toad because they seem playful and fun and they are also cheaply priced.
Ella: Great selection! Have you joined the Huffie Orientation?
Eloise: No I have not, but I hope I can because I didn't have time before.
Ella: Have you visited any of the HOL chat room channels at all?
Eloise: I have visited a couple and read people's comments and I will soon visit more to learn a bit more about HOL.
Ella: Good, so what classes are you hoping to join?
Eloise: I am interested in many classes and hope to join them, such as Auror Training, Charms, Herbology, HOL Quiditch, Magical Recipies, Potions and more.
Ella: Good selections! Do you plan on doing well in these classes, and earning Quills for them?
Eloise: Yes, I plan to do my very best so I can get at least two Quills to pass my first year. I hope that I will do very well.
Ella: Okay, that's all the time for today. Thanks for answering my questions. I hope you enjoy HOL!
Eloise: No problem Ella, I enjoyed answering these questions, and I am absolutely, positively, completely, and utterly sure that I will have a great time here at HOL!
