Snowflakes

Written by Sarah Evans

So magical and enchanting,
Yet so real and true;
So light and elegant,
Yet so heavy and swift;

So nice and warm,
Yet so cruel and cold;
So small and fragile,
Yet so stable and strong.

A short-lived but magical moment,
When one touches my hand:
Little melted puddles,
Where the snowflakes land.

Each unique in its own way,
Yet all are the same.
This is how I'd describe a snowflake,
Reaching for the ground.
