Spring will soon spring.... Right?

Happy 2009, everyone! Can you believe we've made it through one term already? The Fall term was a great success for Hufflepuff. As of the first of February, we've already gained over 61,000 points! And, while points are certainly not the main focus of HOL, I do want to take a moment to thank and congratulate all of our students for the hard work they put into their studies and their extra-curricular activities!

2009 will find Hufflepuff trying out new games, welcoming new students and, in general, staying busy and happy within the halls of our Sett.

This term, I've implemented a Quills for Citrines policy! Students who gain a Quill can reply to this thread to be awarded 30 Citrines per Quill. This goes for Quills earned outside the classroom, as well. You just have to tell me where you earned the Quill. It's quite simple and Citrines can be used in the Sett Shop for some great goodies!

Each month, one of our committees (*shhh!*) hands out awards to students and professors alike (from all houses) for hard work, points earned, and special honors. We like to say "thank you" around the Sett!

And, we continue to welcome all students and staff onto the Wizarding Times pages. If you are interested, feel free to contact us and we'll find some way to put you to work.

I hope that the second term goes well for all of us. I'm thinking it will.

Have a great term, and we'll see you in a few months with another issue of the Wizarding Times!

Sincerely,

Prof. Anya Chutney
Head of House, Hufflepuff
