Top Points Earners / Top Newbies

Some folks say there is something strange about the House of Hufflepuff. Well, whatever other folks say about us, we know that 2+2=5. We're a Sett. We're Badgers.

Some students are Eagles, flying high above the ground, and solitary individuals, brilliant in their own way, reflecting the sunlight as they glide about. Some are Lions, in their prides, hunting about, and some acclaim them the King of Beasts. Some are Snakes, who are noted for their cunning and even their wisdom! We're Badgers, and we have all kinds of attributes. Different kinds of badger clans have different behaviors, but no matter what "kind" of Badger one is, there is a certain loyalty and a certain courage, that one has which makes him or her belong to the House of Hufflepuff.

One of the kinds of courage is a tenacity to continue to do one's best, throughout the whole year. We have, in the Sett, an award called The Hundred Club. This award is given to a Badger who had 100 or more points put into their HOL folder in any given month, as counted from September through June. (This doesn't mean when they were earned, it means when they were actually placed within the HOL folder.) It takes a certain tenacity to continue to perform at a high capacity each and every month of the year.

It's not only the folks bringing in lots of points who participate in who will "win" a House Cup. It's everyone.

And points are not everything!

What is important is that we are a Sett.
