Notes from the Sett

Another year has passed at the Sett, and what a year it's been.

The forum's been running pretty smoothly all year. Save for a tiny hiccup here and there, our doors have been open for Badgers and HOLers alike. We hope to see folks visiting more, though; keep your eyes peeled for some fun activities to cure your summer doldrums.

The SettShop still has a healthy amount of stock from our first shipment. I know I promised some new items months ago, but, um, I keep having trouble with the order forms. You see, it's like this: Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes likes to make sure that every customer has fun, whether you buy in their store or via owl. And, well, their order forms have been enchanted to randomly increase or decrease order amounts... and prices. What's more is that my owls have all returned without being able to deliver my letters, because the delivery address keeps changing, too! But, I should be able to visit Diagon Alley this summer, so I hope to finally add something fun and new to the Shop. Oh, if you've got any special requests, let me know via a note in the Common Room forum and I'll see what I can pick up.

Finally, a note on the website. What website,

you ask? Why, the website that's been "under construction" for the last few years. I know, you had no idea; you've never heard one pound of a hammer, right?

Yes, well, that's my fault, 'cause I... sorta... lost our contractor. Okay, so "lost" may be overstating it a bit.

See, Celeste was helping Tarma and me with a simple spell — honest, we weren't trying to enchant two sets of double-pointed knitting needles to knit a pair of socks in ten minutes — when there was the teeniest of tiny accidents. Accident's too strong a word, even. It was more like a mishap. Or... you know, a minor, inconsequential, hardly noticeable ocular trauma. Ahem.

Needless to say, I had to find another contractor.

But, find one I did, and I've got high hopes for the new team. Boy, if you could see the plans... wow! They're amazing. I'd show 'em to you now, but they're top secret. We'll be unveiling different parts of the site in the coming months, though, so keep an eye on the forum for news.
