Thanksgiving
Day after day we manage to push ourselves ahead,
But we need to stay grateful for every piece of bread,
For having a place to sleep and a roof above our head,
Because that's what matters when all is done and said.
Thank the people around you for being there,
As there is nothing as precious as people who care,
And if you haven't been able to get together,
Do it at least once a year regardless of the weather.
Celebrate all the memories you've made,
Appreciate that you both give and get some aid,
Forget everything bad that you've went through,
And cherish the fact that you've strayed from the blue.
Sometimes the company is more important than food,
And having an excess of friends is always good,
So be thankful for having someone close and dear,
For then you shall never have to deal with fear.
