Fear and Fright

By Hermionie Miranda

Blood pumping at record speed
You are finding it harder to breathe
Your eyes are clouding up; it's hard to see
Your heart is buzzing like a bee
You've seen something oh-so heart stopping
You can feel your confidence slowly dropping
The fear within is eating you alive
To overtake you is what it strives
You feel like you are going to die
You get ready and face the goodbyes
And then it comes, into the light
You are fully aware of what gave you your fright
You take a cautious breath and a step forward
It seems less frightening as it comes towards
And then you see, and then you sigh
The fear vanishes, but you begin to cry.
