The Homework Buddy Program

Here we are, almost half way through the first month of the new term, and you know what that means. Classes have begun and with that comes... HOMEWORK.

I know I get all excited when it comes to doing my assignments. I print out the lessons and assignments, read everything thoroughly, and get all all the supplies I need to complete my assignments.

Now, usually I have no problem with completing my assignments, but sometimes....

That's right, sometimes there's a question about which I'm a bit confused. Sometimes there's a bit of research that seems to evade me. Sometimes it can be as simple as knowing I read what I was looking for in the lesson but, for the life of me, can't find it when I need it for my assignment. It's times like this where I could use a little gentle poke in the right direction.

So I was thinking about this over the summer break and thought it would be nice to have a special place to go where you could get that little point in the right direction.

That's what the Homework Buddy Program is all about. After discussing this idea with our Head of House, Professor Anya Chutney, she gave Professor Angelus Darklost and myself (Felicia Hartwick) the reins of this program.

There's a special place at the Sett where you can now go to if when you have any type of question regarding your homework. This lovely new room is called The Room with All The Books. Here you can find a list of classes and the Huffies who are taking them. This way you can see which other Hufflepuffians are taking the same classes as you. If the occasion arises during the term, you can PM them to see if they can give you a hand.

Now if there isn't another Huffie in your class to give you a hand, we have eager members of the Homework Buddy program all signed up to do just that. Tarma Black, Rorey Padfoot, Askeron Kyle, Neville Prongs, Kath Snape and Emma Pacifica have all volunteered to help out where ever they can.

Again, you would go to the Room With All The Books and post which class you need some help in and just what the problem is.

Now, let's make this perfectly clear: they are not going to do your assignment, but they are going to HELP you find the means to get the answers yourself.

Each day there will be someone checking in at the Room to see if there is anyone looking for help. One of the above helpers will PM you and try to help you as best as they can. They will also post to let you and us know that they are on the case and willing to handle the request.

So, remember, if you're stuck on your latest Muggle Puzzles assignment, or you just can't read the map for the Broom Race Across Sweden, or your Culture is just not Poppin' enough, head on over to the Room With All The Books; lots of knowledge is being dropped in there, and if you're lucky, you can catch some!
