  1. Borzois are also known as Russian Hunting Sighthound and until 1936 they were known as the Russian Wolfhound. Borzois originated in the sixteenth century Russia by crossing Saluki and European Sighthounds with thick-coated Russian breeds. The Borzois were also popular with the Tsars before the 1917 revolution. An interesting fact about this breed is their historical significance in Russian culture. Borzois were highly esteemed by Russian aristocracy and were often kept as hunting companions by the nobility. They were specifically bred for hunting wolves, hares, and other game across the vast Russian landscape. Borzois are known for their unique physical characteristics, such as their long, slender bodies, silky coats, and distinctive curved noses. Another fascinating aspect of Borzoi history is their association with Russian literature and art. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, Borzois became symbolic of aristocratic elegance and grace in Russian literature and art. They were frequently depicted in paintings, sculptures, and literature, showcasing their literary and cultural importance.

  6. Butterflies serve as a symbol of happiness across the globe. These delicate creatures flutter gracefully through life, growing from a caterpillar to a completely different-looking flying inset bearing gorgeous colours and patterns, symbolising transformation, beauty, and joy across various cultures and beliefs. In many cultures, butterflies are seen as messengers of good news and positive change. In my country, if a butterfly (if it’s a yellow one, then even better) sits on an unmarried person, it is a sign that they might soon find the love of their life or even get married. Also, butterflies are often linked with the concept of freedom. Their ability to soar through the air, unrestricted by boundaries or limitations, embodies the freedom to pursue happiness and live life to the fullest.

  8. Making a chimp laugh | Animals in Love - BBC: https://youtu.be/hhlHx5ivGGk Chimpanzees are very clever animals. Just like human kids, they love to play with each other, be naughty and prank one another. They might even sneakily steal a friend or sibling's food, tickle them with leaves, launch a surprise water splash, or even sneak up behind someone to suddenly jump and mischievously scare them. This playful behaviour helps them develop social skills and bonds within their group or community.
  9. 1) Dolphin: Laughing Sound: "Eee! Eee! Eee!" Explanation: Dolphins are known for their playful and social behaviour, often making high-pitched vocalizations that sound like giggles or chuckles. 2) Hyena: Laughing Sound: "Hoo! Hnoo-Hnoo-Hnoo! Hoo! Hoo!" Explanation: Hyenas are famous for their distinctive laughing vocalizations, often heard during social interactions or when excited. Their laughter is often described as contagious, resembling a series of "Hoo" and "Hnoo" sounds. 3) Gorilla: Laughing Sound: "Hooh! Hooh! Hooh! Hooh!" Their laughter is characterized by deep "Hooh" sounds. P.S.: This is one of the best Wonders of the World events that I have participated in. The tasks are so very unique, fun and engaging. Love them!

  12. After some research, I learnt that there are multiple species of mongoose that can laugh. It was a research paper that studied all animal species that exhibit laughter and found that there are more than sixty-five animal species that possess this ability. Except for the animals listed in the prompt by Sirius, or by the other people, the types of mongooses that can laugh include Egyptian mongoose (Herpestes ichneumon), Indian grey mongoose (Urva edwardsii), and Common dwarf mongoose (Helogale parvula). Also side note, while writing this answer, I was reminded of my time writing about mongooses in the “Wonders of Mongooses” activities. References: 1. Winkler, S. L. and Bryant, G. A.
