Poll of the Month
WHAT CLASSES WILL YOU BE TAKING THIS SPRING TERM ??
Oh MY have you looked at all the classes that are being offered this Spring Term ??
*Dances the Happy New Spring Term Dance*
There are some amazing ones to review and sign up for. It is always so exciting to find NEW classes as well as the old standbys.
The FIRST TERM was amazing. I, myself, took "Ancient Runes-Grave Markers" (where I took my camera and went hunting for special grave markers in many different cemeteries). I also took "Care Of Magical Pets" (where I learned the proper way to take care of the most popular Magical Pets: Toads, Cats, and Owls). I took "Dragons," as well, which gave me the opportunity to learn not just about the ten breeds of Dragons listed in the Magical Beasts and Where To Find Them, but to learn about Dragons from many different countries. I took "History of Hogwarts—The Founders" (where I was introduced to Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin). And, finally, I took "Traditional Home and Folk Remedies" (where I learned so much about certain good foods and drinks to help you make a healthier life for yourself. We learned about Water, Tea, Coffee, Garlic, Onion, Shallot, Carrot, Tomato, Cabbage, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, and Cloves).
I have hunted down the new classes that I will be signing up for when Feb. 1st comes. I have chosen five classes. I must admit I am NOT fond of essays, so I prefer classes that have them, but offer a 300 words max. limit. So the five classes I have chosen are: "A Visit To Hogsmeade," "Advanced Astronomy," "Quidditch—The Wizard Way," "Famous Witches and Wizards," and "Art Appreciation: The Ninja Turtles."
For this Issue, I asked my fellow Hufflepuffs what classes were they signing up for. The Poll offered the following:
- A Visit To Hogsmeade— (4 votes - 57.14%)
- Care Of Magical Pets— (0 - 0%)
- Magical Embroidery— (2 votes - 28.57%)
- Traditional Home and Folk Remedies (0 - 0%>
- Other— (1 vote - 14.29%)
I will now, for your enjoyment, let you read some of the voters replies, which offer some different options, as well.
Hermione Miranda
"I plan on taking 'A Visit to Hogsmeade,' 'Auror Training Level One,' 'DADA,' 'When Muggles and Magic Collide,' and 'GM.' I plan on taking more 'Harry Potter-ish' classes this term, I want to know better about the HP world. Of course, I wish all professors and student teachers good luck on teaching this term and all students a great term!"
Rorey Padfoot
"I'm planning to take 'Magical Embroidery.' I used to cross stitch when I was younger, and with the chance of making a Hogwarts badge I don't want to pass up the opportunity. I am also taking 'Advanced Greek Mythology' and 'Advanced Herbology for Potions,' which is yet another change I have in my class schedule. I will be continuing in 'Monsters in Cinema' and 'Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons.'
Zoki Phantom
"I will be taking two from the classes you have added in the poll. They are 'A Vist To Hogsmeade' and 'Care of Magical Pets.' My other 3 classes will be: 'Famous Witches and Wizards in History,' 'Philippines Mythology and Folklore' and 'Dragons.' I picked my classes in the same way I picked them last term—I cut down the list of classes that I want to take to 10 classes and then I tossed a coin to see which ones I should take. It might not be the best way out there, but it works for me. I can't wait for classes to start!"
Belle Black
"I am bad and choose my classes based on the teachers! I usually stick with Huff professors so I'm def. taking 'A visit to Hogsmeade'—this is up my alley seeing as I've been there numerous times (with or without permission :-). I am considering taking 'Care of Magical Pets.' I took 'Famous Witches and Wizards' last term and loved it! I wish there was an advanced class!"
Professor Felicia Hartwick
"I haven't really looked the list over but I got as far as the Hogsmeade one... and, all I have to say is... First Years... you better get in shape... I'm going shopping!"
Ely Granger
"I'm planning to take 'A Visit to Hogsmeade,' 'Greek Mythology,' 'Famous Wizards and Witches in History,' 'Writing Your Own Fairy Tales,' and 'Introduction to Geophysics'."
Abigail Chambers
"So I kind of failed my classes last term and this year I plan to earn quills in all of my my classes! I was quite sad when I found out that I am now a passive member *gasps*.
Anyway, the classes I am taking this term include: 'Advanced Greek Mythology,' 'Arithmancy,' 'Magical Embroidery,' and 'When Muggles and Magic Collide.' I am still debating on whether or not I will be taking a 5th class."
Well this was a great response by all. We surely hope you enjoyed reading the Hufflepuff students class choices.
