Chaos In the Corridors of Hogwarts!

By Hanna Erised

Never in the history of Hogwarts have the students seen such a dangerous and sorry site in the corridors of their beloved school. Yesterday, at approximately 5:15 PM the gleaming and dormant coats of armor that litter the corridors of Hogwarts sprang to life, chasing and attempting to attack the students who were innocently trying to retire up to their dorms for the night. The third floor where the scene took place is now shut down and charmed so as to prevent the coats of armor escape. Students will have to take a different route to get to their classes safely and will be informed of the detour by Prefects as soon as possible.

"It was horrifying," says Jessica Summers, a Fifth Year who was an eye witness to the terrible attacks. "The coats of armor were brandishing axes and attempting to kill any students in their sight. What was worse is that they were resistant to any charms or spells students tried to use to defend themselves." Fortunately, no students were harmed during the episode.

When asked why the coats of armor—usually dormant and safe—suddenly attacked, Jessica Summers answered without missing a beat. "Well, they're most definitely jinxed, aren't they? Probably some First Year's idea of fun. Or even an older student with a mean streak in them."

The third floor will remain shut down until the issue is dealt with; we are not clear of how long this will take, but the Charms Professor is completely confident that the third floor will return to normal in a matter of days.
