Quotation Notation

"Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."

Whoever thought of this quote ought to give himself some credit! This quote directly says what it means. You may want something really badly, but that doesn't mean it will always be good for you. I say this quote merges with "Things aren't always what they seem to be," because what seems good and wonderful may turn out to be painful and horrifying, or at least upsetting.

There are many versions of this quote, but they all give out the same message. Think before you say something or wish for something. Think twice before you do anything. You'll regret many choices in life, but that's natural. One minute you might wish you never had a brother, and soon when he's off to college you might miss him too much. Don't let silly wishes get in the way of using your mind; be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it!
