All Star Quidditch Match Report
by Wylie Weasley
Now this match could be named the David and Goliath of the Quidditch world, let's see why. In one corner we had the blue team, headed by Captain Matt Whisp, including Jonathan Rico, Sindor Aloyarc, Peter Shechem, Mark Mandrake and my good self. (Only not that good when it comes to Quidditch.) In the red corner we had, headed by Captain Kelsey Willow, October Jackson, Talya Mamush, Cosmo Brown and Caitlin Caretis.
The majority of the game was controlled by the girls with a few outbursts of activity from certain male chasers, opening the chance of points. The female chasers were prime examples of what a chaser should be and do, going for and achieving almost all scoring opportunities.
Matt was possibly the star of the show, keeping together an almost newish team of players and defending the goals to a superb standard throughout, which kept the girls winning score down remarkably. The end score after the snitch was caught by seeker Missa Matz was 240 for the girls against 20 for the boys. A remarkable victory for the girls!
Professor O'Brien thought the following of the game, "I think everyone did a great job, and I loved how some people that never played before did play now."
Most Valuable Players Awards were handed out at the end of the match, and the receiving participants were all the stars that played. It might have been noticed that some of the players seemed at a higher standard than others. Professor O'Brien on the other hand believes, "everyone played so very well, and that should be rewarded." Everyone to their own standard played extremely well, some players experienced their very first match.
As for highlights of the match, the following were some mentioned to me: when Mr. Paddy, the fantastic announcer that he is, produced the wrong scores, giving the girls an unfair head start. Another was when the girls beat the boys (changed for politeness reason, no need to be so descriptive). The highlight from the viewers that shows the talent of the teams came from Eve Sharp, when she described her highlight as being the team names, which were something along the lines of boyzzzzzzzzzz and girlzzzzzzzzzzz. Glad you were kept entertained throughout.
