Christmas In the Good Old Summertime

By Prof. Cosmo B. Mott

I'm sorry, but I can't do this. I protest!

It can't be that we've finished another year — HOL's tenth year — already. Why, it was only last week that I was watching all the new students get sorted and settled into their dorms, and I was getting ready for my first year as a professor. There's no way it can be July already. Let's just pretend it's December again.

I don't know about you, but this year has flown by. So much has happened. It's been HOL's tenth anniversary, and there have been a lot of different celebrations. We've even put together a special yearbook for the occasion.

To top it all off, the Badgers have won the House Cup again! It's because of the hard work and dedication shown by each of our students that we've accomplished this. As the song says, "We are stronger here together than we could ever be alone." I know that most of you quietly do your work, without thought of recognition or commendation. I also know that it's because of you — your diligence, your energy, your steadfastness — that Hufflepuff won its seventh (7th!!) House Cup.

So after you've read through this fantastic issue of the Wizarding Times, sit back and relax this summer (maybe by stopping by The Playground at the Sett); it'll be September before you know it!

Happy summer!
