Greetings and Happy Fall

By Prof. Anya Chutney

In my part of the world, the leaves are just beginning to change, the nights are getting crisp, and I'm starting to rub my hands in anticipation of all of the good Fall and Winter foods I get to cook! As much as I adore my summer vegetables, there's nothing quite like a good bowl of homemade soup on a chilly night — especially when you can share it with those you love!

So, I'm sharing two of my best (and simplest) soup recipes with you in this issue. If you don't cook, gather some friends together and try these! If you do cook, have a cook-off with your friends. If you're too young, get a parent or older sibling to help you make your favourite soup. I hope your enjoy your Fall and your favourite foods. I know I will!

My love and laughter,
Prof. Anya
