This month's craft is fairly simple. You'll need to gather the supplies; the beads are small size "pony" beads or any beads of your choice in your favorite house's colors. You'll need stretchy cord: it is elastic clear thread, and comes in other colors too. Don't forget a pair of scissors to cut the cord with.
To make the bracelet, unwind the cord and measure with the cord around your wrist (or take a guess on size if making for a friend). After you have a measure add on about 4 inches extra so you have enough left at the end to tie off. For a good strong bracelet, double the length of the cord so for example your wrist is say 4 inches of length, add on 4 extra inches you'll have 8 inches - instead, cut 16 inches and fold the long cord in half. This way there's double cording through the beads.
So now you have your cord ready, time to string on the beads. You can put them on in any order you want. It's your bracelet! Be creative! You could add a bead charm to your bracelet, as I did with mine. I beaded on a silver star bead at the end. Then when you are done and it will look good around your wrist, tie the ends off in a double knot, make it a good strong knot-but not too big a knot. Stretch it out a bit; make sure it'll stay knotted. Then trim off the lose ends and look, your own house bracelet! Won't that look nice in the house box?
