Welcome back crafters!! The craft this month is House Trinket Box. It's something that when you are done making you can keep little things in it like charms or tiny gifts. You can even give it as a gift! If your ready, lets get started, and remember for our young crafters to get an older crafter to work with you.

Gather your supplies. For this project you will need:

First step after you've gathered all supplies and have your work area laid out and paint ready. First paint the inside of the box. As you can see, I used black. Use whichever of the two colors you want for your box. Let it dry. Paint just one coat.

After the inside has dried, paint the outside of the box with the other color of paint. Let this dry; if you like you can paint two coats on the outside. After it dries, use a dry sponge to dip in the other color (the one you used for the inside) and dab the sponge all over the outside of box (see picture). When it is cover the way you like it, let it dry.

You're almost there! Now find your favorite house sticker, if you've printed it on full sheet sticker/label paper, you'll have to cut it out. Stick the sticker on top of the lid.

Next, open the Mod Podge, Gloss finish Découpage bottle/jar. Brush the outside of the box generously. It will be a milky look to it. Let this dry clear. After it dries it will feel sticky, you will want to then use the Clear Acrylic to seal this. It gets rid of the sticky feel. Let this dry.

And look! a finished trinket box! (Of course it will be your design :D)

Side Notes:
You can go to an Office Supply store ask for full sheet, label/sticker paper. I like the Avery brand, personally. Ask for that. If you would like I have a Word Document File that contains the house shield images, so if you do get this paper, all you need is this file and you print out some stickers. Email the Crafty Badger for the file or any questions you may have. Happy Crafting and Happy Halloween!
