Prof. Tarma Amelia Black Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I have no idea why, each time I see a photograph of this aqueduct, that it is just so lovely. Be it as it may, it is quite a Wonder to me, even if it doesn't hit the top 5 ancient Wonders of the World in most of the surveys. Behold the Pont du Gard Aqueduct, in France, near Nîmes, Uzés and Avignon. That's an official picture of it, as found on a Google search. Now it's your turn to color in a picture, and post it below. Use either of the pictures below for your coloring page. If you want to do your own rendition and post it below, do that instead! (If you draw your own rendition of this Aqueduct, be sure that it is 600x600 or smaller.) You can make your coloring moody and introspective or bright and sun-shiny. You can be imaginative, and pretend you found this on a different planet -- go for it! *~*~*~*~*~* ONE For direct link, click here . ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* TWO For direct link, click here . ~*~*~*~*~*~* You will receive 25 Diamonds for posting your picture below by the end of November, HOL time. Galena May Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 The Pont du Gard Aqueduct is the tallest aqueduct in France, built on the Gard river. According to a Provençal legend, the building of the aqueduct is credited to the devil himself. 1
Adeline Morior Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 The bridge consists of three tiers of arches that formerly carried an estimated 8,800,000 gallons of water a day over about 50km which fed into the baths, fountains and homes of the Nîmes citizens. 2
