Wonders of the World - November 2024 - Petra Cryptogram

Who knows how long ago the architectural marvel 'called' Petra was made? There are all kinds of speculations, but, as Adeline wrote: "It was known to have been settled by the Nabataeans, a nomadic Arab people, in the 4th century BC." But who dug it out from the rock walls and why? New theories have come up in recent days, suggesting it was not only used as a trading post but it had been built millenia ago for some other purpose, not yet completely understood or known.  Such a mystery! 

 

Here's a little Cryptogram letting us know a little more about 'modern day' Petra.
