Returning from Sunny Places, HoH is Away! Thread 8

The day was cloudy and chilly when Hufflepuff's HoH returned to HOL, but as she walked into the Badger's common room she could feel the warmth of being home. Though, as she looked around, something felt ... strange. Everything was in place, chairs all fluffed up, tables cleaned, rugs all in place, fire in the fireplace crackling softly, books arranged in the bookcases all in order, but there was something.

 

Maybe she was remembering a time in her youth when her father left on a business trip and she throw a little gathering for a few friends... and a bit more showed up. She smiled at the memory. And if she could remember the spell her father used to check out the mansion when he came home she too could find out if something went on here.

 

It took a minute or two to recall her father's spell, but it finally popped into her head. She also could picture in her mind how she stood in the living room and her father casted the spell and moved his wand around the room revealing the party that was thrown just a night ago. She had been lucky, her father wasn't mad at her, he had expected something like that to happen and had put sticking charms on expensive pieces of art and tchotchkes  he had through their home.

 

Fels pulled her wand out from her traveling clock and mimicked her father's movements. Slowly, the memory of a party that had happened when she was gone showed itself to her. From what she could see, the Badgers and their friends had a pretty grand time. But everything was in place and the Common Room was no worse for wear so all was good as she was concerned.

 

And she probably knew the ringleaders to it all... Tarma and Sirius!

Felicia watched from the  comfy chair by the fire place as Tarma and Sirius arrive into the Common Room, acting innocent as they can, but Fels knows what went on while she was gone. She smiled to both as they welcomed her back.

 

"I see the Sett is still standing, so I can believe everything went smoothly while I was away." she said addressing the two. "Thank you for keeping a watchful eye on everyone. I hope no one gave you any trouble."

 

Fels rose up from her seat and proceeded to walk to the staircase to her chambers. As she passed Tarma and  Sirius, she stopped to look at both of them and said, "You know, I seem to be a bit hungry suddenly. I think I could go for some Badger Burrow Biscuits. I think I'll see if Wilbur can find a few that were left over." She turned away, a smile spreading on her face as she started to walk up the stairs to her rooms.

Sirius breathed a, or maybe six sighs of relief, throwing glances at Tarma, turning to giggles and laughter after. We did it! With the help of everyone, we did enjoy the few days of absence of our HoH, did some games, activities and threw a wonderful party for everyone. Since the party is now HoH-approved, Sirius reversed the charms hiding the traces, memories, and remnants of the party (THE SIX THREADS/MEMORIES ARE BACK!).
