How to Put a Link in your Post

You are writing a post and you want to add in a link.      You want to put in that link, but you don't want all the looooooong URL?

 

That is your post - at the top.

Click on the ... link.

 

 

 

THIS comes up.

 

 

 

1) Put the URL of the post you want in the 'put the link in here'.

2) Whatever you want to write, either the name of the topic or  the word "here" -- or whatever, write that in the 'Link text' place

Then CLICK   (Insert into post)

Example:

if you have a sentence, like this:
"If you want to find out more about XYZ, click here."

Click that link thing, and the other will come up -- so you put that LINK thing where you want it in the sentence (for example, after the word 'click'. Put in the link, write the word 'here' in the 'Link text' place.
If you don't like the words that you put in 'Link text", that can be edited (most of the time).

Be sure to click it after posting, to make sure that it works.  Sometimes the Sett burps or whatever.

No, Fels!  It wasn't for you. 

 

It's because it's not obvious, what to do to put in a link, or how to do it. So it's fair to let folks know what's up.
