Plants of Wonder - Week 3 - Coloring Page

Recommended Posts

Plants definitely come in different sizes, colors, and forms. Our discussions last week tell us that we definitely have different experiences when it comes to these green wonders. Oh, some of them would not be colored green at all. The answer to this is geographical. It would depend on where on Earth the plant is. We have an image below from Arizona State University of a biome map wherein different plants can be seen and observed depending on their location on the planet. Different kinds of plants exist in the tropics while other species thrive in the arid deserts and cold tundra. Different experiences and memories would then be associated to plants by people living in the temperate regions compared to those in the African grasslands.

This geographical variation would explain the different colors and other characteristics of these wonders. As an activity for this week, let us appreciate the different colors brought by these plants of wonder. Color one of the many coloring pages presented below, representing the different biomes in the map above. Post in this thread your creation to earn 25 diamonds. You have until October 31 to do so. You can use the images in this post (maximum 600 pixels for one side) or the bigger images in the links below.
