No matter where you are on the planet, the hours of light and dark are at their shortest and longest duration.  Isn't that magical?

For me - it's winter solstice. The shortest day (daylight hours) of the year; the hours of longest dark.

I wish everyone a very wonderful and peaceful day and wish for everyone a very very good new year to come.

(not my picture)

Oddly enough, this morning when I went outside, it's all frozen and gorgeous - but no snow. :D

I am so very late, but I hope everyone had a lovely Solstice no matter where you are in the world! I had to celebrate a little earlier than my usual time for my fire burning (candle lighting) ceremony because of work, but it all turned out really well, and I have high hopes for this new year coming up.
